The 14th annual fundraiser gala will be hosted by the Grant a Gift Autism Foundation on November 13th from 5:30 P.M. to 9 P.M. The event will be held at The Ackerman Center.

This event was designed to help raise funds, awareness, and support for local children and families who are coping with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

All the money raised during the event will remain within the community. Proceeds will help support local treatment plans and clinical care for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodivergent conditions. According to reports, many local autistic citizens lack proper insurance coverage to help them get the treatment they need. One of the main goals of this annual fundraiser is to help bridge the insurance gap for younger adults so that they can become more productive, independent, and successful as they grow. Some of the funds will also go to autistic individuals who are currently uninsured.

The money will also be used to develop new community workshops and family support programs.

During the event, several champions for the autistic community will be recognized and honored. Local philanthropists, Jenny and Gerry Shear of the Sehar Family Foundation, will be honored for their consistent contributions to the cause. Barbara Buckley, an employee with the Legal Aid Center of Nevada, will also be presented with the Community Ambassador Award for her good works.

Are You Looking for Help With Your Loved One’s Autistic Behavioral Challenges?

Recent estimates suggest that around one in 36 children in America are currently diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum. Far more children have likely not received a diagnosis yet.

Autism can result in a variety of behavioral and health concerns from specific, repetitive food preferences that impact nutrition to emotional outbursts that result in physical harm. Autism can also contribute to social difficulties and difficulties fitting in at school.

Early identification of autism is important because the sooner you recognize that your child is struggling, the sooner you can help them develop the proper skills, habits, and mindsets necessary to thrive and cope with their unique challenges. Getting your child connected with the right resources can set them on the path to success.

Here at the Nevada Autism Center, our staff is dedicated to identifying and understanding the complex challenges your loved one is facing as a result of their autism or neurodivergence. If you choose to work with us, then our facility will conduct a thorough evaluation to assess your loved one. From there, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan that involves top-quality ABA services conducted in a one-on-one setting, social skill training, neurofeedback therapy, community support, summer camps, and family guidance. Our team can also help your child learn the skills they’ll need to be successful in school settings.

We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, and more. If you want to learn more about our program and speak one-on-one with one of our agents, you can reach out to us at (702) 660-2005.
