If you’re a fan of professional wrestling, you’re probably familiar with Will Ospreay’s best-known as the Aerial Assassin. One of the best skills that set the Aerial Assassin apart is his athletic prowess and the way he seamlessly blends agility with sheer strength in the ring, reminiscent of the most accomplished acrobats, such as Rey Mysterio.
Ospreay’s Autism diagnosis
What many may not realize, however, is that Ospreay has much appreciated the unique attributes that come with his autism. Ospreay has always viewed the positive aspect of his neurodivergence as a distinct advantage.
This outlook has enabled him to meticulously hone his craft, embracing his differences as an integral part of his identity and prowess in the ring. In a recent Interview the 31 year old wrestler said “I feel like this helps much in finding what I genuinely love”
Despite not aiming or to be a role model, he inadvertently inspires countless fans worldwide. He acknowledges the profound impact of his openness about personal battles, admitting that while he might not embody the traditional role model, his authenticity resonates deeply with many. Early in the journey of self-discovery, he’d wanted to be an electrician, considering his fascination with intricate systems. However, after several mishaps, including accidentally setting ablaze multiple kitchens, it became evident that this path wasn’t meant for him. Instead, his passion for wrestling took center stage.
Ospreay candid advice to others
His candid advice to those struggling with their own pursuits is not to allow setbacks to dictate their destiny. He gives the emphatic reminder that even at the moment when he appears the most composed, experiencing uncertainty is almost something he experiences frequently. He says,
“Still, I don’t feel entirely confident, but again, vulnerability is not entirely bad when shown authentically.”
Alongside handling his professional responsibilities, Ospreay emphasizes the importance of addressing mental well-being. He advocates for seeking support when needed and fostering meaningful connections within his personal life and the wrestling community.
The wrestling icon is scheduled to re-enter the prestigious Wembley Stadium arena for the second year. This anticipated event, set to occur when AEW graces London with its monumental All In show, marks a significant moment in his flourishing career.
