On Saturday, July 26, the 17th Annual Ante4autism poker tournament will take place at the South Point Hotel and Casino. To help promote the event, Abigail Bachman, who won Miss Nevada 2025, will appear and play in the game.

Ante4autism is an annual Texas Hold’em tournament that’s been held each year in Las Vegas since 2009. Originally, Doug Krinsky and his wife founded a nonprofit organization called Beat Autism Now, Inc., and they came up with the idea of having the poker event each year to raise funds. So far, players and sponsors have already raised an incredible $1,477,477, according to the event’s website, between 2009 and 2024.

Abigail Bachman just graduated from Touro University Nevada with a doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She already received a bachelor’s degree in Disability Services from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Right now, Bachman is a strong advocate for the autistic community. She’s a member of the Autism Cares Advisory Committee and regularly volunteers with the local Best Buddies of Nevada program. She serves as an Executive Director of Nevada Miss Amazing, which is a nonprofit that empowers girls and women with disabilities. She is also the social media coordinator for the national Miss Amazing Organization.

During the poker tournament, Bachman plans on greeting attendees personally and playing a great game for charity. This year, the bulk of the funds raised will go to Aces for Autism, AJ Foundation, All R Friends, the National Autism Association of Southeast Ohio, and Oakstone Academy.

If you’re interested in attending the event, then it’s important to know about the special discounts you might be eligible for.
