RBTs
Registered Behavior Technicians are the heart and soul of our center! As an RBT, you’ll work under the supervision of a BCBA and directly with each child directly receiving your services. You’ll implement BCBA-crafted behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs with children on your caseload. YOU will be the reason kids will want to come to session each day!
At Nevada Autism Center, we are looking for compassionate, driven individuals who love to problem-solve and think outside the box! We are a team and hope all our RBTs will thrive in this type of environment. BCBAs will always be available for questions or help when/if needed, making this a great opportunity for those just starting in the field or those seeking supervision hours.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand and move around throughout the duration of your sessions
- Ability to hold up to 40lbs. It will be the RBT’s job to always ensure their safety!
- Flexibility to crawl, stand, jump, and maneuver your body when necessary and as a part of the skill acquisition program implementation
For insurance reasons, we can only accept those who have received the RBT credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). These are individuals who have reached the below requirements:
- At least age 18
- High school diploma
- Background checked (and passed)
- Completed 40-hour RBT training
- Successfully completed an initial competency assessment
- Passed the BACB RBT exam
Maintenance of this credential is required through ongoing supervision, adherence to ethics, and recertifying with the board once per year. For more information, please visit https://www.bacb.com/rbt/
BCBAs
We know you have a passion for the ABA field; that’s why you’re a BCBA! We want your skills and expertise at our center, where kids come first! We offer our BCBAs more time to focus on their clients and team, while paperwork and insurance can be worked out through our administration team. We want your skillset at the forefront to ensure the best outcome for clients and their families.
Please note that in the State of Nevada, BCBA’s must also be licensed at the State level. Please make sure you obtain the proper credentialling to ensure a smooth start or transition at Nevada Autism Center.
