Brain Hager is currently leading the nonprofit Grant a Gift Autism Foundation, and so far, his leadership skills are really making a difference. Since becoming president of the foundation, Hager has driven significant growth for the foundation. Currently, it’s estimated that the foundation has at least doubled in size since Hager took control. What’s more, the foundation has been able to serve three times as many families as it was before the leadership change.

One of the most impactful things Hager has done for Grant a Gift Autism Foundation is secure a multi-million dollar grant from the state to help fund the nonprofit’s mission.

This singular action has led to profound change. It has empowered the foundation and the Ackerman Center to be able to provide resources and advocate for neurodiverse individuals and their families in a more powerful and impactful way than before. On top of securing the significant grant, Hager has also been leading the Grant a Gift Autism Foundation by shaping a new strategic vision that focuses on engaging donors, expanding patient care, and seeking out advocates within the community who will champion the cause.

This strategy has proven to be very successful and beneficial for the foundation and autistic families in the area.

Before joining the nonprofit, Hager worked as an intelligence specialist in the U.S. Navy and, before that, he worked as a healthcare administrator in Reno. His ability to overcome complex challenges in these former positions helped equip him to be so successful at what he does for the nonprofit.

Are You Looking for Additional Support for Your Autistic Child?

Are you currently looking for additional support and help with your autistic child? Here at the Nevada Autism Center, our empathetic and compassionate staff all understand the struggles of trying to raise a child with autism, and we’re also all well-equipped with the right knowledge and tools to help us empower your child.

The goal of our program is to help your child become more independent and more self-sufficient in school and other social situations. We seek to help identify and reduce the frequency of maladaptive coping behaviors and replace them with more prosocial ones.

We accomplish these goals by blending traditional ABA therapy with the highest possible ethical standards, compassion, and love. We also have a few unique program offerings at our facility, which are run by Clinical Director Chantal Rainford, BCBA. We focus on supporting autistic children by creating and writing specific intervention plans that take into consideration the child’s unique needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Our facility also offers summer camp focus groups and therapies.

Our facility accepts Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, United Healthcare, and other forms of insurance as payment. To learn more about your payment options or verify your insurance, reach out to our office at (702) 660-2005.
