The Inoculation Project is an ongoing non-profit organization that seeks to crowdfund in an effort to bring science math and literacy projects to low-income public schools. Over the years, the organization has successfully funded 1,154 projects.

Each week, the group launches projects aimed directly at funding a very specific purpose. For instance, in the week of February 16th, two projects were launched.

Project One sought out $159.90 for Ms. Cait at Helen J Stewart Special School in Las Vegas, Nevada. This fundraising goal was set to fund kits with magnets, batteries, lights, and fans to allow students to have hands-on physical science learning. The lessons taught with these materials include magnetism, electrical circuits, and energy transformation. Ms. Cait noted that her class is an equity focus school where almost all students are from low-income households. This project was completed and completely funded!

Project Two seeks to help Ms. Wilson revamp and modernize the library at her preschool in Virginia. The project needs $934.28 in all to completely fund the library at Woodlawn Learning Center in Hopewell, Virginia. The library lacks the functionality necessary to support the developmental needs of Ms. Wilson’s students, so funding this project will help the school offer age-appropriate toys and space for exploration. During the week of publishing the project, The Cameron Foundation offered 2x matching funds for any donations. At the time of this publication, the project still needs $361.05 to fund the project.

In the previous week, donors helped Mrs. Taylor build a classroom library for her Philadelphia first graders.

Are You Looking for Additional Resources for Your Autistic Child?

One of the toughest parts about living in an area with an underfunded public school is that your child might not receive the assistance they need to really thrive. This is especially true if your child is autistic.

Here at the Nevada Autism Center, our mission is to help empower your child to thrive in school and at home. We seek to facilitate your child’s independence by assisting them with identifying maladaptive behaviors and replacing them. The facility also focuses strongly on positive reinforcement. The team seeks to learn what’s most reinforcing for the student and then use it to help them acquire skills or modify their behavior.

We offer functional assessments, ABA therapy, social skill reinforcement, family guidance, neurofeedback therapies, summer camps, model classrooms, community support, and school readiness services. While we can’t be at school with your child, we can help them cope with public school by becoming more confident, independent, communicative, and social. We can help them with following directions and executing daily living skills while away at school.

We accept several types of insurance plans including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Health Plan of Nevada, and more.
